Product description
Lot: Double wooden bed frame with carved headboard and footboard and original metal sprung mattress support. The lot presents a solid, decorative head and foot with cabriole-style legs and the original wire-sprung metal base still attached — a practical restoration or re-use project for a bedroom or guest room.
This frame suits a buyer wanting a period-look or project piece: restore the springs and finish for home use, reuse the headboard and footboard for an upholstery project, or keep the base as-is for a vintage aesthetic. It will suit a double mattress (approx 135 x 190 cm) and works well for hobbyist restorers, prop houses, or anyone customizing a bedroom on a budget.
- Included: wooden headboard, wooden footboard, fitted metal sprung mattress support/frame and fixings (no mattress included).
- Condition: used with visible surface scratches and worn finish on wood; sprung metal base and brackets show rust, corrosion and uneven/sagging springs; some flaking paint on metal fixings. A bracket stamp appears (reads approximately “BEBL6” but not confirmed).
- Measurements: 200 x 139 x 126 cm (uploader measurements provided).
- Support completeness: metal sprung support present (no timber slats).
- Structural: declared solid and stable by warehouse; no signs of pests or strong odour noted.
