Product description
Vintage Commodore portable typewriter in its original hard carrying case — tested and working. The machine carries the Commodore badge (Made in Germany) and a full QWERTY keyboard with a red/black ribbon installed. Warehouse inspection confirmed all keys move freely and the carriage, platen and return operate; photos show the keyboard, typebars and carriage, together with cosmetic wear and surface rust around the badge and case fittings.
This compact portable will suit collectors, retro-styled home or office displays, writers who prefer a mechanical experience, prop departments and restoration projects. It is a ready display piece that also responds to mechanical use — a good candidate for light typing straight away or a deeper service and cosmetic refresh to return it to daily use.
- Included: Commodore portable manual typewriter in fitted hard carrying case; ribbon installed (appears dry).
- Condition: Used vintage with paint chips, surface scratches, dirt and rust/corrosion visible around the badge and case fittings. Case shows edge wear and a split at the base seam; internal straps deteriorated.
- Measurements: Not provided.
- Working status: Tested at intake — keys move freely; carriage and platen checked and operate.
- Known faults: Rust/corrosion around badge and case fittings; worn/discoloured keys; case edge wear and split; internal strap deterioration; case lock present but no key; ribbon present but likely dry.
