Product description
Lot: small veneered display cabinet / vitrine sitting over a two‑door cupboard. Tall, narrow case with decorative veneered banding across the top and an open display well — clearly intended for glass glazing and internal shelves. The cabinet is structurally present and the lower cupboard opens; strongest visible features are the intact frame, original veneered trim and the cupboard with a keyhole (key not supplied).
This piece suits a collector, restorer or furniture refinish project: refinish and re‑glaze as a display vitrine, convert the open well into a book or object niche, or use the lower cupboard for concealed storage in a hallway, studio or boutique. Ideal for someone who wants a vintage shell to repair and customise rather than a ready‑to‑use display unit.
- Includes: single veneered display upper case and lower two‑door cupboard on a small plinth — sold as shown (one unit).
- Condition: fair, cosmetically worn with surface staining, water marks and rubbed veneer, chips and scuffs across surfaces. Base and feet show heavy wear.
- Measurements (external): 161 × 42 × 89 cm (height × width × depth) — supplied by warehouse.
- Working status: N/A (furniture item) — lower cupboard opens; lock present but key missing.
- Known faults / restoration notes: missing internal display shelves and missing glazing (no glass in display opening); clear surface staining and dark water marks inside the display well and on the base; veneer loss and chipped edges (front lower cupboard and base); scuffed feet and worn base plinth; back is a nailed panel; requires glass and cosmetic restoration.
