Lot: Solid pine storage chest — an attractive, well-worn trunk with rich aged patina, iron strap reinforcements across the lid and a front hasp. The chest measures 75 x 46 x 40 cm externally and shows strong visual character: visible nail and screw heads, knotted timber grain and an even, warmed finish. The lid opens smoothly and the interior was checked and is clean and dry.
This piece suits a buyer after rustic storage, a restoration project or a photographic/film prop.
