Product description
Attractive wooden writing desk / console table with graceful cabriole legs, a raised rear gallery and two front drawers with decorative brass handles. The piece is structurally sound and the drawers operate smoothly; the top shows significant cosmetic wear including large circular water spotting, darker staining at the right and general surface scratches and finish loss as seen in the photographs.
This desk suits someone looking for a period-style console for a hallway or living room, a project for a furniture restorer, or a property stager who wants characterful pieces. Because the carcass and legs are stable and drawers work, it can be used immediately for light display or refined back to a working writing desk with surface restoration.
